No, this has nothing to do about the movie.
This is completely another story…
My story started on a cold morning in June…
Yes, it is winter in June here in South Africa. To be exact it was the second day of June 1990, and it was nearly the end of me.
My wife and I with our four little children were living on a farm about 67 km from the nearest town. I was 35 years of age and thought I was a tough guy, and I was a smoker. Not too much – just about 7 cigarettes per day.
The previous day I woke up with a fever – it was the flu. A normal thing in the winter. I would not listen to my wife to stay in bed but went up a steep mountain looking to shoot a Kudu bul. We needed meat to make biltong.
I got my kudu, but it was a process of carrying it down the mountain. Doctors will warn you not to exert yourself while you have the flu. But this young guy did not listen. I was young and fit and strong.
The next morning, I woke early (still with a fever) to cut the carcass in two. Halfway through with a handsaw working above my head, I felt a tightening of my chest. Next my left arm went numb. This can’t be happening – I’m still young but that did not stop the heart attack.
I tried to walk back home from the shed but fell. My wife saw me falling down and called the farm workers to carry me inside. She phoned the doctor and told him my symptoms. He said that he was sending the ambulance but that she must bring me as fast as possible to the hospital. We would meet halfway.
The Miracle that Saved Me
They loaded me in the passenger seat of the double-cab pickup truck next to my wife. She rushed to town on the dirt road. She had just got her licence a few months ago. After about 40 km I became unconscious, and my wife panicked.
On a corner she lost control, and the vehicle went right into a gravel heap next to the road and flipped to land on its roof. Luckily my wife had put on her safety belt, but they did not put mine on. I was thrown with my chest to the dashboard and my heart started to beat again.
A few minutes later the ambulance stopped next to the accident, and they lifted me through the gap where the front window was. We reached the hospital, and I was ten days in intensive care. My heart fibrillated and they struggled to get it right. They later found out that I had a very slow heartbeat of less than 50 per minute.
If the accident did not happen when it did, I would arrive DOA at the hospital.
I recovered fully and today I am a proud grandfather of the twin daughters of my daughter Sorita.
The Moral of the Story
Don’t disregard the advice of a doctor when they warn you not to stress when you have the flu. Never smoke at all. It’s not good for your health especially when you are young. And listen to your wife.
The doctor told her to stop the vehicle if it would happen again and hit me in the chest with her fist. It would be cheaper than to write off the pickup truck!
What I learned from this experience is that one should not ever take life for granted. You never know when it will be your last day. We were very lucky in that my wife walked away without a scratch and I survived with nothing broken.
On that fateful day I decided to be grateful for what I have and to thank my creator every day for giving me a second chance.
Losing My Job at Age 67
In 1993 we unfortunately lost our farm due to a severe three-year drought.
Fortunately, we could start a computer business that did very well. In 2004 our children took over the management and I worked as an engineer and later as a project manager on a walnut farm.
Like many people I tried to help to pay for my children’s study so that they would not start life with a huge debt. This meant that we were not able to put away enough for our later years.
Suddenly I was without a job and not enough to live from. The children are doing well with the computer business, but we don’t want to ask them for money.
When we had the business, I created websites for my customers, and I thought that I could offer this as a service online. I did not know how to do effective online marketing and failed to get customers.
This is when I happened to find the Money Secret of Michael Cheney. This man is a marketing genius and he showed me the way to success. Now you might ask:
What’s the Secret
I would rather let Michael show you the answer. What I can tell you is that it worked for me. Within a week after I got access to his method, I was seeing the first income of R 2,060.75 (about $108). Since then, I have been able to provide for my wife and me.
We have even started to build up a study fund for the twins as well.
Now you have these three steps to follow:
- Click this link below and read Michael’s letter.
- Buy his product and…
- Implement what you have learned and earn what you want.
All the best,
